Joanna Gaines is prepared to tell the world a new chapter of her tale at the age of 44.

The interior designer opens up to her followers in great detail in her new memoir, The Stories We Tell, as they support her after a memorable trip to New York City.

Joanna was beaming as she thanked her supporters on Instagram before an interview with Hoda Kotb on the Today Show.

 She wrote, "I may have carried my book about like it was a small baby and got selfies with it all over town. 

 I just wanted to say thank you for all your support over the past few months leading up to today, which was a FUN day.

The Fixer Upper star was frank in the interview on what it was like to have mixed ancestry growing up and felt like she "couldn't find her place,

Hoda, who is a fantastic host, deliberately delved deeper into Joanna's experience of growing up as a half-White, half-Korean.

Joanna acknowledged that she never dealt with her feelings and buried them in order to avoid feeling embarrassed after receiving bullying at school.

"I thought I was digesting everything alone, but now that I'm 44, I understand that you have to say these things aloud.
