claimed that she never brought up those efforts with her husband. She also continued to spread the myth that the election was rigged.

Ms. Thomas smiled in response to questions from reporters after the about four-hour interview,

which took place at an office complex close to the Capitol, but she chose not to respond to any in public.

She did, however, respond to inquiries from the committee's chairman,

Mississippi Representative Bennie Thompson, a Democrat, who noted that her evidence might be used in a future hearing.

According to Mr. Thompson, Ms. Thomas, who goes by Ginni, reiterated during her interview her claim that President Donald J. Trump was the victim of a vote-tampering,

 in late 2020 while pressuring state legislators and the White House chief of staff
