TJ Dillashaw has acknowledged that prior to his 2019 fight with Henry Cejudo,

when he tested positive for a prohibited substance, he tried to "line his pockets."

Dillashaw, who was the flyweight champion at the time after defeating the great Demetrious Johnson a few months before,

moved down from bantamweight to take on Cejudo.

while cutting six weeks before the fight after realizing that his body wouldn't let him to drop to 125 pounds on his own.

And he has acknowledged that he chose to enter the fight rather than trying to advance in weight or find another way to create history

 He now acknowledges that the decision was incorrect, and all available evidence suggests that he has never previously or since utilized performance-enhancing substances.

He told Mirror Fighting, "Look at it now for sure I absolutely should not have gone down.
