Julio Jones gets new NFL home in time for training camp
Julio Jones, a wide receiver, has signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2022 season after spending four months as an NFL free agent.
According to reports from NFL Network and ESPN on Tuesday afternoon, Jones has agreed to a one-year deal with the Bucs.
On Wednesday, Tampa Bay will have its first preseason workout.
Jones, a former standout at Alabama and Foley High School, has missed seven games the last two seasons due to hamstring problems.
With Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay possesses one of the top wide receiver tandems in the NFL.
Jones had at least 1,394 receiving yards in each of seven straight seasons before to being injured.
Evans is a four-time Pro Bowl selection who has 1,000 receiving yards in all eight of his NFL seasons. Godwin has been invited to one Pro Bowl
Jones will have the chance to catch passes from Tom Brady, the NFL's all-time leading passer, while playing for the Buccaneers in his 23rd season.
