One of the quickest IR returns is what Randall Cobb will achieve. The Packers confirmed the veteran wide receiver's return to the active roster on Thursday, carrying through their rumored activation.

Cobb missed the required four games while on the IR due to a high ankle injury and is now qualified to play again this week.

He was Tuesday's return target for the Packers. Cobb is not going through a practice ramp-up period despite the team's Thursday night game. For the Titans game, he will be wearing a uniform.

The Packers have four more injury activations left after this one. Cobb's transfer also marks the team's second receiver IR return this year.

 Last month, Sammy Watkins was taken off the injured list. With the Packers off to a 4-6 start and little margin for mistake going into the final stretch, 

Cobb has now returned to the IR twice in his two seasons with the Pack. The most recent return was on Thursday. 

He missed time last season due to a core muscle ailment, but since teams will have unlimited IR activations starting in 2020–21, such roster changes will be less significant.
