On September 21, 2009, Floyd Leon "Tommy" Collins passed away in his home.

His two children, Cathy and Connie, as well as his parents Joe and Kathryn Collins, both from California, predeceased him.
Tommy left behind five children. The mother of his children, Louise Collins; five grandchildren; wonderful brothers and sisters, Betty Sprayberry, Ringgold
