According to the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department, U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-2nd District) died in an automobile accident on Wednesday in Elkhart County.

According to police, the accident happened around 12:30 p.m. with Walorski and two other passengers in a car traveling south on Indiana 19 near Wakarusa.

Walorski was not alone in the car at the time; Zach Potts and Emma Thomson, both 27 years old, also perished in the collision.
